"29- Air Pump Circuit" Can this cause a Service Engine Soon Light to come on? Anyone?

I was just driving home and i noticed that my SERVICE ENGINE SOON light was on...Looked at my scanmaster and i see under DTC: 29. Which is AIR PUMP CIRCUIT. If this needs to be changed, what would a BAD air pump circuit cause the car to do? And how hard/expensive is this to change?

Let me know guys,thanks!

DTC 29 = AIR pump circuit. 9 times out of 10 it means the fuse for the AIR pump is blown. You can just unplug the harness connector from the pump, and make sure there is a good fuse in the circuit, and the code and light will go away.

in order for the code to go away do u have to unplug the harness connector? I put a new fuse in and that didnt take the code away. Although this morning when i started the car there was no SES light anymore..

Is the harness connector on the bottom right side of the air pump? My CAI makes it hard for me to reach there, altho i was able to unplug it and put it back in. Code is still there tho...

another thing...it calls for a 20 amp ATO fuse but when i looked in my fuse box to put the 20 amp fuse in, i saw a 25 amp fuse in the 7 spot for the air pump...

anyways, i put the 20amp fuse in and disconnected the harness..no SES light but the cose 29 still is there in my scanmaster..

Shoebox? Inj? Do u guys know what could be it?

Reset your PCM to get rid of the code. Find the PCM IGN fuse on the side of the dash and pull it for about 30 seconds.
