Dry Starts, Long Term Storage

I'm putting new fenders, front bumper cover, a hood, headers, weight reduction, etc... on my car over the winter and I probably won't actually drive the car until next spring. Do you recommend starting the car and letting it run regularly or would it be better to just leave it off until I start it next spring? Thanks,
FLeX

Common sense tells me that your idea is smart but I thought I better check with fellow board members before making a decision. Thanks
