Dropping engine without evacuating A/C

I'm in the process of dropping my engine out of my '95 Z28. I'm trying to do it without opening up the A/C and losing its charge and possibly getting contaminated. Everything is going smoothly except...

Everything is disconnected except the A/C. I have the bolts out but can't move the compressor out of the way because the line is kind of intertwined with the power steering line. The power steering line is disconnected from the rack, but still it's all intertwined and I can't get it to come through so that the compressor will move.

Has anybody done this successfully before? I don't see a way to do it and may end up having to disconnect the A/C lines and defeat my purpose. But if you know how it can be done, please let me know!

I've done it. You have to remove enough of the p/s lines to be able to free it up.

All of the power steering lines are disconnected except at the pump for the one line--and we can't get a wrench in there to free it up.

I guess I'll just have to cut it and get it re-flanged. That seems to be my last resort.

Just remove the AC already. Yes, you'll have to vaccuum it and recharge. So what?

Thanks for responding, ya'll! As it turns out, I should have checked out my parts inventory before posting. The compressor that came with the other car is no good, so I have to move the entire system anyway. Oh, well.
