well the z dropped a valve. the head hasnt been taken off, so i dont know the extent of the damage. i pray it didnt mess up the cylinder or the head. if the block needs to be rehoned and a new piston is needed, would i be better off to just buy a decent short block with good pistons and replace the rings and bearings? the idea of a 383 is out the window because the car is gone once its fixed.
