Your car will be fine with the MAF unplugged. The computer reverts to a crude speed density mode.

He he, I like that "crude speed density mode"
The 93 guys will love that.
If you unplug the MAF the computer will go into Limp Home Mode which basically is speed density, the comp uses preset tables to determine fuel delivery using other sensors.
Its ok for troubleshooting but I would not want to do it for a long time.

Whats wrong with your MAF? Maybe it needs cleaning. Here is a post of my results after cleaning mine.

I actually have dyno results of my car in "crude" speed density mode, when playing around with a MAF Translator. In back to back runs I went from 408rwhp down to 356rhp. A/F ratio was at 17:1.

Basically put, the car does not know what the **** to do without the MAF sensor.

I second that.... I had to try it my self... the car felt muted and I defenetely lost power. Hooked it back up and she was able to bark the tires once again.
