Drivetran HP/Torque Limits

well im wondering how far i can power my car before worrying about my transmission rear axel differential and so on

My car made 529rwhp and 528rwtq ... I am still on the stock trans and rearend...

Auto or M6? And as the above post implies, what tires? On street tires and an unpreped surface, you are not likely to break anything as the wheels will simply spin before enough torque is applied to do damage. The 4L60 is not really very strong in stock form but is easier on the rear end. An M6 car will break the rear end before the tranny breaks. It's more an issue of traction than HP in either case though. If you use race tires on a track, a stock tranny and rear will eventually break even with a stock motor.

so far its a4, but its starting to slip and im wanting to replace it with a m6...

so what does gm say the limits are?
