Driveshafts

What are your opinions on the 1LE and LS1 driveshafts? Both are aluminum, correct? Are there any recurring problems inherent with either? Also, how much weight would they save me over a stock driveshaft?

The LS1 is a very smooth unit, compared to the LT1 shaft. You can get one from a wrecking yard for around $100. I didn't weigh it but it felt about 15-20lbs lighter also.

1Le is lighter Ls1 is bigger in diameter for strength. So do you want lighter or stronger?
