Driveshaft Length

How long is the 1LE/stock drive shaft for the LT1? I have to go get one soon and want to know what I am going to have to drive try to fit it. I dont have a tape measure here at school. Will it fit in my LT1?

any steel LT1 driveshaft, 1LE aluminum ds (from 3rd or 4th gen vehicle), or LS1 aluminum ds will swap into your car without problem. 1LE is the strongest of the three; the LS1 ds the smoothest
i wouldn't worry about measuring unless you're getting a custom ds fabbed up

I am talking about transporting it. I have to pick one up and am wondering if it will fit in the cabin.

haha, yes in that case also. the ds will even fit in the trunk (mine does not have driver-side subwoofer) just bring some towels to pad the probably-dirty piece
