Driver Side Window Loose

Not really an LT1 tech specific problem, but I doubt the newer cars have window issues yet. Anyway, the driver side window seems to have come off the track or something. If its not completely up or down, it wants to fall inward into the car. Plus I hear the sounds of something rattling around in there. Does anyone know how difficult it is to take the door apart to access the window bracing?

its a pain but its not impossible. I've done a few of them. It sounds like your channel is broken, ir possibly the rivits pulled out of the motor. The channel piece is on 45$ but its a pain. motors are easier. just get a #2 phillips #3 phillips a flathead screwdriver a drill and some good drill bits and a small metric socket set. Shoebox has an excellant diagram on his site on how to do the window motor fix without a riviter

Just like stated above i had the same problem and it was my track that broke. It wasnt to tough once you get the skin off and take a look at was is going on in there. I ended up taking my window up to a glass repair place to get re-rivited. It only took them 2 secs of there time so they didnt charge me nothing. That was the only thing I couldnt do myself because they are a very large rivit that most people probably do not have that size rivit gun.
