Driveability of the GM847???

Before I start,I already did a search and could'nt really find the answer I was looking for.
Right now I have the cc503 and i'm interested in upgrding to the GM847 cam but I want to make sure I can still cruise halfway comfortable. It's not a daily driver however it's also not a full blown racer.I may drive it for 2 weeks straight and let it set for a week.Pretty much just whenever I feel like driving it.My heads are ported from CNC Clyinder Heads and I was told I should be fine with this size cam.I was just warned that it won't be as driveable.
Whats your thoughts?
Thanks,
JE

With a good tune, it sould be ok. Just make sure they get out as much of the cam surge as thay can and you sould be fine. You will lose some low end though.

Re: Driveability of the GM847???

the driveability of it is great actually
i really enjoy it but with 4.11 above 3000 rpms first is useless but the thing thats bad is the gas mileage but if you care about gas mileage a bigole v8 aint for ya

It's not going to drive like stock!!!!!!!!
It's not a BIG,stupid cam,no problem driving it.
I am running a 260-270@50 on a 108ICL on the street with no problems. Can't figure why you feel you will have problems with a small cam.

Re: Driveability of the GM847???

Honestly, a sound clip doesn't do justice for that cam. You really have to hear it and experience it first hand. I absolutely love mine in my set up. I chose that cam because I never once heard anyone say anything negative about it. Glad I went with it. With the dual 3 inch cutouts open, the note is sooooo sweet at WOT.
