drawbacks of Raised Runner heads on street motor

Just like the topic says. Any comments on possible drawbacks of using raised runner heads on a mostly street - street/strip motor?

There is no specific drawback because they are "raised runner". What heads do you mean? What is the rest of the combo?

Most raised runner heads are going to want to spin VERY high on a 355, like beyond the pcms capability. Would still make power and could be drivably but will not work as well as the motor could have.

Would most likely end up being the AFR 215RR's since they have the more reasonable runner volume. Also i figure they would be nice on a 396 bottom end. Hopefully the longer stroke would help the peak power come much sooner, also since its a street motor it would not have an out of control size cam in it. The setup would probably be broken in on an engine dyno with a carb and a full pull or two to find out what the power band looks like and how desperately a stand alone is needed for the extra rpm.

Money is probably the best reason why you wouldn't use them on the street. The heads aren't that expensive, but you have to use shaft rockers due to the offset intake pushrod, custom intake manifold, offset lifters, valve covers, etc. . . gets expensive. Also, some wouldn't consider the required solid-roller cam to be streetable, but that's arguable.
