Re: Drag strip time

the hard part is getting it onto the computer...I have no idea how to get the vid on... I was going to go over to Speed and show Larry because we 'were' going to pull the jets out of the TNT kit, but couldn't get the external Fuel pump on Sat. And he wanted to see it blow up, so I figured I can show him the noise and see him laugh.

crash4cyl,
you can email me any files you want hosted at tuner@madz28.com and I'll host them for you.
What kind of guarantee is this? If we don't get those gains do we get money back or what?

Re: Drag strip time

I was driving the 95 red TA with chrome zr-1 rims
I got a personal best NA of 12.6 @ 108mph (still spinning the tires)
My friend's car was a 95 purple Z
We were there @10am and left at about 1:30

Provided the car is up to tune (recent plugs, wires, good filters, good opti) and you have a before the tune dyno run, then you do an after tune dyno run.

I thought you were guaranteing track times, not Dyno numbers..

Re: Drag strip time

hey snake I remember seeing the cars...You guys were filling your tires as we had the issues of the car shutting off at half track. then the black one had a dead battery. Nice times too. I also started the build on that silver '98 drop top. He also had traction issues all day long. He's got a lot of suspension tuning to do but the shop he goes to doesn't know enough about the suspensions in these cars to get him to bite real hard. I don't think they realize he should be right aroung the 1.5-1.6 60' time.

Lots of fun though...Larry and Mike over at Speed did nothing but laugh at the sound of the motor...It's definately done, as is the rearend (one tire fire).

Chris

Ion, I'll try to e-mail you pics after this weekend, hopefully we can get the heads off (time). If we do you'll have an e-mail full of pics of the motor.

I always quote the HP gain when I'm asked about the gains with tuning, but when I mentioned the track times, that is what most people see with my tuning.

If you go to my customers cars section here you can see the track gains on the last car, then Mike's red Formula and some other cars on the other pages. These are all bolt on cars.
If you do a search on the board, you'll find some people with stock cars that got the same gains. Or you can just make a new post asking about the track gains with my tuning if you're still doubtful.

I have no doubts in your skills as a programmer and that you're product is great.. I plan to purchase a tune from you but have been putting it off because I thought the gains would be much more substantial if I had Long tube headers to go along with the tune. But if you're guranteeing track times I'd be very much interested in buying a PCM tune from you sooner than I was anticipating. My car runs very well and is in top running condition, and was interested in your claim of +2mph / .1-.2 off 1/4 mile times as a gurantee on your product. But if it's a gurantee on dyno numbers, that's much harder to challange due to dyno runs costing near 40 dollars, but a track only costing 10. That is why I was interested in your track time gurantee, and was not challanging the potency of your product.
