drag or not to drag
drag or not to drag
would it be a bad idea for me to take my 93 TA to the strip this summer whens its got 130+ on the motor and 60k on the trans and rear end just wondering cuz ive never taken my car there before thanks
Re: drag or not to drag
Unless you notice an issue when driving it normally, I would take it to the track!
It is a lot of fun and if you havent noticed any issues driving it already then you should have nothing to worry about. There are plenty of people with those miles who race regularly.

Re: drag or not to drag
Practice on a deserted road as close to your house as you can or just hit it hard a couple times on the highway, that way if something's going to break, it'll hopefully do it then. That might expose any weakness you may have and not know about. Then you can feel better about going to the track AND have some practice under your belt. Good luck and post times asap.
Re: drag or not to drag
I raced my wagon at 180K and plan to this year at over 195K the 4600+lbs base curb weight means this motor is seeing a lot more abuse than yours and it is the exact same bottomend. Like the others said too if you drive it hard on the street the track is really no different other than maybe the starting line.
