Dr. Gas X-pipe & Kook's

I am about to order the 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" to 3" collectors Kook's headers. I want to run an x-pipe, Dynomax bullet mufflers, and turndowns before the axle. Now, this is where the problem comes in. I called a few local muffler shops and asked how much it would be to run an x-pipe setup. One guy said that with my car it was absolutly a terrible decision due to clerance issues and no room to run the exhaust. Is he telling the truth? I see many people on here running a similar setup. Is anyone not happy with it? Other homo's said they wouldn't install the system without catalytic converters. Don't want those.

Since no one wants the to do it the way I want it done, I was looking at the Dr. Gas XScream Universal Kit and installing it myself with clamps and hopefully finding someone to weld it up. Has anyone experienced problems with this kit? Did do a search on Dr. Gas and didn't find anything.

Any help appreciated and if anyone knows of a shop in the Houston area that would be willing to make one or weld up the Dr. Gas setup let me know.

Wayne

It can be made to work. Go with the 2.5" x pipe kit, it will fit a little better than 3".
