heater hose ?

I have deleted heat and a/c but I was wondering if its okay to cap off the heater hose ends at the water pump. I currently have them looped. Thanks. I just want as much stuff out of the way as possible I know that might be dumb to some but I want a clean engine bay before I repaint it.

Re: heater hose ?

Since you're only concerned with painting it. Cap it, paint it and then put the loop back on.

Sorry, you misunderstood. I want as much clutter out as possible so I was wondering if I could leave them capped, that way I could get rid of the hoses all together.

Not an expert at water flow but since the heater core has a restrictor in the flow path any way. It should not be a problem to cap them. However, I don't see how a 6 or 7 inch piece of hose in front of the water pump is clutter?

Every liitle bit helps my friend plus it looks kind of rigged being looped like that.
