Dowel pins and head studs

Dowel pins and head studs

Do you have to use the dowel pins in the heads if you use head studs?

I cant find mine and my new heads don't have any.

Yes - You HAVE to used deck dowel's

Put the dowels in the block. Studs or bolts don't locate the heads, they just clamp them.
