dowel pin ?s

i broke off my dowel pin in my cam, its for a vented opti with the long dowel pin. Where can i find another one? dealerships, parts stores?

You can probably get one locally, napa etc. If not, just call Comp etc. & they'll drop one in an envelope and send it you way.

hum

cool, i hope i didnt do any damage. my car woudnt start, so i took of the distributor (heard clicking noise comming from it) and i noticed that the dowel pin and all the cam bolts were broke off,

the distributor came lose and i guess broke it

dowel pin

ok, i went to the dealership and the do not sell the pin with out the cam. they also do not sell the three bolts that go in the cam.

check napa, and the same no. what else is there?

this is the dowel pin for the vented opti,(it is longer)

i bought this one off of gmpartsdirect.com

i did the same thing u did, i went to the dealership and they claimed that it does not exist,

try taking the p/n to them,

and see what they say,

GM PART # 9424877 for the cam sprocket bolts.

i am 99% sure that is the p/n for the dowel pin only,
