Double-Roller and timing cover

Is any clearancing needed for the EX double roller and a 95' timing cover? Cam goes in tomorrow, this is the last thing on my list to check. Water pump shaft hole I have freeze plugged. LMK, thanks

What we did with my Cloyes was put grease on the timing chain and put the cover on, turned the motor over to see if any of the grease rubbed on the cover. Where there was grease, we grinded down on the timing cover. Seems to have worked pretty well.

Did the same, no issues after a bit of grinding. I probably grinded more than I needed to, but I wanted to be sure that I didn't have any clearance issues. Biggest area of concern is the ridge around the hole for the opti seal. Really isn't too difficult though.

I had to take mine off a few times but it really isn't that big of a deal.

I greased up the chain and did some test fitting.
Only problem is that if your taking the cover off a bunch of times you need to make sure your not tearing the front seal on the oil pan.

I used a die grinder for the thick area and a "handy andy" to get it all even and worked out. Overall its super simple.

Is it only the area around the big gear needing grinding? Also, is it the sides, or is it the flat face part that needs grinding?

Just the flat face or very front of the timing set.
