doors shut with a SLAM!
doors shut with a SLAM!
I dunno about you guys but the doors on both my camaro's shut with a loud slam. I guess thier weight over the years has misaligned them. You guys know what im talkin about right? Is there anything we can do to fix this? New hinges?
check to see if you have rubbing on the sill...I have paint peeling from mine.
I definatly need new hinges on the drivers side. the pass side is ok tho.
not all the doors slam like that, my fathers doors on his 00 close like a caddy.

You guys shut your doors awful hard.
I had an old pontiac once that this girl got into and slammed the door, well the window was down and shattered inside the door.
I resisted the urge to kill her, but now anyone who gets in my camaro and slams the door gets a beating.

I know exactly what you mean. My drivers shuts fine but the pass. side like "speeds up" when you shut it, the drivers has more resistance. Is there a spring by the hinge that could have broke?
Like on older cars, you know what kind; the S shaped looking spring??????????

To be honest, I use the "slamming door" as a test on most of my dates. If they slam it hard, they get ONE warning. If they are a repeat offender they can feel the bus door slap them in the @$$, while they watch me drive away. It's the ones that get it right the first time that you have to hold on too. = )
Have a good one.

LOL,
I don't know 'bout stickers on my ride, but that certainly is some food for thought!!! = )
I just was curious if anyone does this as well:
Immediately after the "perp" has SLAMMED the door, you gaze at them snaringly and tell them to open it and try again. Making sure they understand not to SLAM it again. They often get it. = )
I hate making friends walk. = P

LMAO
It's unbelievable! In the late '80 all the vehicles here in Hungary were like Lada's, Trabants, Wartburgs, that's all. I wonder, if you're fimiliar with these 'cars'
they were the true masterpieces of the communistic automobile industry in estern-Europe.
Of course their rusty doors had to be slammed like a damn toilet door! Some of the people have kept this habit, and sometimes I get goosebumps when a lady smashes the door so damn hard that the windows rattle inside the door.
My pass side closes like a charm, but my drivers side door sounds pretty harsh. I fiddled with it adjusting a whole day, but nothing seems to work...
I guess I have to live with it.
