Don't like magnaflow (recommendations)

Hey guys,

I've had my maganflow on for a few months now and I'm not really a fan of it. I don't like how quiet it is unless your at WOT. Plus I don't like how one side is louder than the other. Does anybody have any recommendations on a cat-back that I would enjoy. I want something loud at start-up and with a nice sound through-out the rpms. I don't want a hooker and I thought about GMMG, but 700 is just to much to spend on another cat-back. I can deal with some drone but I'm not crazy about rasp. My friend has a mustang gt with an off-road x and 40 series flowmasters, to me that is the ideal sound level, noisey but sounds good.

Thanks

Loudmouth or maybe a used borla system might suit you. Or dual it out and get longtubes.

I love my borla, I actually used the tunning baffles and put them on my cutout! Talk about fine tuning the exhaust note.

I would get a loudmouth, but I heard one on a car with no cats and I idn't like it.

I'm trying to find a catback that will still be deep and loud, but not raspy with no cats.

If you consider getting rid of your Magnaflow I may be interested I am looking for something quiet unless I am WOT and it sounds like your description. If you dont end up selling it what model is it so I can look into one?

I don't know how soon I'll be selling it since there seems to be no exhaust out there that will sound good.

You should check out Spintech. They have that chambered sound like Flowmasters, but a lot less resonance. Don't base your opinion on the internet sound clips of them though, they generally don't sound nearly as good as in person.

Why don't you want Hooker? I actually think it would be exactly what you're looking for.

Random Tech makes a good catback system. Go on ls1sounds.com and check it out.

Why don't you want Hooker? their cat back systems are pretty nice! I think your description fits true duals pretty nicely.

I love the sound of my Flow master american thunder 40 series cat back exhaust. cheap and killer sound. Good combo with the bbk shortie headers and bbk y pipe I have in it. Loud as all hell.

It's just the standard 93-97 Magnaflow catback-I bought it from ebay

It sounds okay with out cats?

I was going to get a hooker but from what people have told me it sounds almost stock until you really get on it. Which is what I don't like about my magnaflow
