I need to get my car smogged in the next few weeks. I have a K&N cold air/ FIPK thing. I do not however have a carb sticker for it because it bought it used.

Can the smog people look it up and see that its 50 state legal? Or do I have to put back my original equipment for the smog check......because I dont have it anymore . My dad cleaned out the garage and threw out a lot of stuff, including the cap for my cut out, which I will also need for the check.

I aslo live in cali and I smogged my 96z a couple months ago. I have a moroso cold air kit.

First off I dont know if you had smogged your car before but it seemed that all the books that the smog guys had, said that 97 and older years cars had only one cat. So after going to the dealer getting an exploted map of a stock exhaust system they finaly started to smog it. At this time he started to give me problems with my cold air. He said i needed a carb number for it. His manager came out and said it was okay. If you look in the summit catalog for the k&n kits they have carb numbers printed for them. I think if you take the book atleast and show them its the same kit they will run with it. hope this helps
