Question Doing head swap:will it run before reprogram?

My car is a 96 Z28. I already have the LT4 hotcam kit with PCMFORLESS program. Soon I will be swapping in the LT4 heads and intake, along with 30# injectors. My question is: Will it run OK before I get it reprogrammed so I can drive it home from my buddy's house(where the swap will be done)? I don't think my friend will want my car sitting there for a week while I wait for my update from Bryan.

Thanks
Matt

Do you think it will run rich or lean? I might feel the urge to see how it feels on the way home and would like to know if I'll have to play it safe or not

Due to the 30lb SVO's the car will run rich. Your 24 lb injectors probably have a pulse width of 19-22 at WOT. So untill your update comes in the car will run on the rich side.

Why dont you send the chip back when you start to remove the heads? Just a thought.

Thanks. As long as it runs a little rich, I know I'll be ok.

As far as sending it out when I start to remove the heads, the swap will be done over a weekend at a friend's house.

it is very easy to swap the injectors. Just wait until you get it back to your place to do it. It is 4 bolts then pop in the injectors.
