I just bought the AS&M Monoblade and the SHCS's (socket head cap screws) that came with it have rust on them already and i havent even got the car on the road yet. Has this happened to anyone else? Seems kind of strange that for such an expensive TB that the hardware that came with it would rust so quickly. Is there anything i can do to prevent this?

You could see if there are stainless ones available from someone like McMaster Carr. Just watch because stainless tends to gall when tightened if not lubed. It's also not usually as strong as carbon steel, but these aren't a high torque application.

 

I have a McMaster Carr at home that i may check into or i may just shoot them with some black hi temp paint and curr them. Just ashame that so much money is spent on a beautiful TB and the SHCS's look like they do after about a month in my garage. Oh well, no complaints about the TB though. Thanks
