does wiring on injectors matter?
does wiring on injectors matter?
I have a 93 - batch fire. Can I screw up the wiring of injector wire to injector? Or are the 1&3, 5&7, 2&4, 6&8 interchangeable?
When I pull the 7, 5, and 3 injector wire, the idle drops. When I pull wire 1, the idle stays the same. I am running super rich.
Is there a way to test if the signal is firing at the wire? I looked for a noid light and cannot find anyone that carries it.
I put a screwdriver to injectors 1 and 3, and to me it sounds the same whether plugged in or out. Am I hearing the other injector?

Re: does wiring on injectors matter?
It doesn't matter how they are wired. They fire 4 at a time.
You can find the 'noid lights dirt cheap online. Try Harbor Freight. Or there's always eBay:

Re: does wiring on injectors matter?
I believe with batch fire the only difference is between left and right bank. I'm not 100% sure on it though.
If you can definitely hear the injector pulsing by using a stethoscope or screwdriver handle to your ear. You might have a plugged injector. They do have a very fine mesh screen to keep anything that makes it past the in-line filter from getting in to the injector.
If not a plugged screen. The injector itself can be plugged or restricted. I had this happen once a long time ago on a 3rd gen Z. I used Chevron injector cleaner and it took care of the problem in less than a tank full of gas.
