Arrow Does everyone's car actually shift where you have it set to shift at?

Do your cars actually shift where you have it set to shift. For instance.. say you have a mild cam and tons of other stuff.. you set your rev at 6600 with the hypertech and for your 1-2 shift to shift at 5800 rpm's, does your car actually shift or does it hit the rev before it shifts? This is the problem i am having... its done this since day one. Could it be the tranny or i am getting up to the speed quicker than my tranny can get there?

please helppppppppppppppp

thanks

i ran into that same problem with programming, i use lt1 edit. and what i learned is that the tranny doesn't shift until both mph and rpm points are reach then the pcm will tell the tranny to shift. you gotta love a4's. but i hope this helps and that i'm correct.

So is your working now with the lt1 edit? Where do you have your rev limiter set at?

Another thing to note is that while the command to shift may go out from the PCM, the shift may take anywhere from 200-400 RPM to occur.

at lunch i went and played around with it.. my 1-2 shift is set at
-6 and it shifted before it hit the rev limiter.. but my 2-3 shift still hit the rev so i set it at -11 but havent gotten a chance to test the 2-3 shift. hope this works

thanks
