Does anyone want to to the pickins for me?
Does anyone want to do the pickins for me?
Got my car back. Need these missing parts. Instead of asking for each part I will just ask all of them in one post.
1.)Gaskets best for the price for the top end
2.)Lifters for my stock motor
3.) Long tubes for the price, I would rather loose a few extra HP for price, ease of installing and for spark plug spacing.
4.)Jegs intake elbow I will end up using, any problems or spend the extra dough for Trick flow?
5.) Should I buy pushrods or springs for the heads?
6.) Spark plugs and wires. Money is no limit.
For a late 1997 model LT1 with over 150K blew head gasket again.

Keep the Jegs

For stock? Are your current ones bad?

MSD super conductors. NGK tr55s

2) Stock replacement lifters...they use them in the LS7 engines.
3) No long tube headers are easy to install....just pick a brand and buy band-aids for your knuckles.
4) Neither, use the GM 1LE part or equivalent.
5) Have the heads redone once they're off the car. Who knows what went on when the head gaskets failed. A valve job and new springs on a 150K mile car isn't a bad idea. I'd replace the pushrods as well but it isn't necessary if they aren't bent.
6) I like NGK plugs. TR55 are the stock heat range and gap..use them on a nearly stock engine. There are lots of choices for wires. I use magnacor and have never had a issue with my headers.
Re: Does anyone want to to the pickins for me?
There was a ticking when the car had the blown head gasket. The old mechanic said there was air or something in the lifters and strongly recommend it. I will buy push rods as well. I heard the light ticking as well. I will have Loyd Elliot resurface the heads and freshen them up.
