I Have a CC305 in mint condition that just came out of my 97 LT1 with approx 50 miles on it. I am looking to trade it for a 306 or a LT4 HC. I am looking for something on a 112 lsa instead of a 114. I will consider a reasonable amount of cash+cam also....

Anyone up for this???

 

the HC and cc306 are on COMPLETLY opposite sides of the spectrum. with the cc305 being in the middle of the 2

 

I always thought the 305 was right between the HC and the 306. I got the whole HC kit new and unused, but I don't really have any use for the 305.

The hot cam is slightly milder than the CC305 cam. The CC306 cam is one step up from the CC305 cam. You would need to decide which direction you want to go with the car. If emissions is an issue, you wont want to go with the CC306. There are better options out there than the 306 but if youre really wanting that "cammed" sound, thats a good cam to start with.

 

Im even looking for another cc305 on a 112lsa. Im looking for something with a real radical idle and some nice mid-high rpm power

You should try posting this in the parts wanted forum. I thought I saw someone post a 306 cam for sale in the for sale forum today.

 

Comparing the LT4 hot cam to the 306 is unrealistic. Try comparing it to the GM 847 which is almost the same.
