Does a 2001 rear end fit my car.....please help

I just bought a 2001 rear end from a trans am...i got a good deal on it and i've heard that it won't fit my car right.....is this true....please respond.

The brakes won't work, but the rearend itself should be fine.

I think the brakes will work, just not the ABS or TCS. Some modifications may fix that...?

If you want to use the brakes, it requires different master cylinder, and some other stuff, I'm not sure what else.

Damn i thought the brakes would get in the way. Well i'll see what happens. I talked to some guys at speed inc. and they said if i change the backing plate on the rear everything else should line up right. Well i'll see what happens
