Do you have to get the cpu programmed when doing lt's??

Do you have to get the cpu programmed when doing lt's??

somebody told me that you have to have your cpu programmed to take out the egr and air is this true?? also what are egr block off plates? and where can i buy then at b/c i hear you need them to and lastly what type of gaskets do i need for installation?

1) no, not with OBD1... you might still get an SES light for EGR every few days (if ever) thats what mine does

2) metal plates that block off the EGR spots on the back of the intake manifold

3) search, i got mine from a guy on the board for like 22 bucks shipped

4) fel pro 1406's i believe

Felpro carries a better gasket called Felpro Blue, pat number is 1470, and make sure you get grade 8 bolts, you will really need them!!!!!!!!!!
