Do you ever feel like....
Do you ever feel like....
If you were thinking about a 383 lt1 upgrade do you ever feel like swapping upto a ls1?
I knew ls1's have an easier time makeing power and for the money, for a lt1 to put down the amount of power a ls1 can....../
A friend at Indycyclinder head keeps telling me to save up and swap to a ls1. He can build me and mild Ls1 easier then a wild lt1, plus he tells me the ls1 will handle more and easier
So if money is a minor issue why don't lt1 owners swap to a ls1?

Re: Do you ever feel like....
I've already decided that if for some reason my current 355 LE LT1 combo doesn't trap close to or over 120 MPH after I get it all ironed out and tweaked out I'll be pulling it out in favor for an LSx combo. Possibly start on an Iron Block 6.0.
Re: Do you ever feel like....
X2. If I dont start to see better power numbers out mine im out of the LT1 business. Im not one to get all nastalgic over a series of engine. ill drop it as fast as I dropped the TPI.
Re: Do you ever feel like....
I own an LS1 but personally I don't see why the LT1's are frowned upon so much... I mean I have seen some WICKED LT1's that I wouldn't think of touching in stock / mildly modded trim... I don't understand the big problem with them... All an engine is, is a giant air pump and the goal is to get more air and fuel in and out as quickly as possible... With that being said and considering they're ROUGHLY the same displacement stock, they SHOULD have the same potential, it only might cost an LT1 alittle more cash to get there (not even sure about that anymore because LT1 parts are nickle cheap!) but I still have alot of confidence that the LT1 remains a stout motor...
