If you were to do pulleys, I would probably only look into the ASP set and not the other "piggyback" styles out there.

Very little bang for the buck with pulleys; spend your money elsewhere.

they work for me, get the March underdrive kit with the alt and crank pulleys, this will open your car up a little bit more, make sure if your making alot of power to get a keyed crank hub though.

If you get pulleys we'd HIGHLY recomend the ASP over anything else.

Alot of people notice a difference with that kit.. And for the price its not bad. What other mods do you currently have?

This link has probably been posted about 10,000 times...... 0.7 peak HP, 4.4 Avg HP for a piggyback style pulley.

Just a teeny tiny bit. I have the ASP pulley which I like better than the piggyback pulley from March which I have used too.

Pullies work best on cars with belt driven waterpumps because the waterpump is probably the biggest power user of the accessories. The stock LT1 WP takes 11hp to turn at 6000 engine rpms, but is not belt driven so we can't underdrive it.

Honestly IMO UD pullies on an LT1 are best left to the road racing guys to save wear on accessories more than for the freed up power. If buying a damper though might as well get the smaller and if you have a raised idle for a cam then you should not need an OD alternator pulley.
