The LEwhat? Never heard of that...

Do you mean 1LE? If so that's not a heads/cam package, it's an option code mostly having to do w/ suspension.

LE=Lloyd Elliot

I'm running LE1 heads but with rev valves in them, but I'm running a SMALL custom grind from Joe Overton. It's a 220/226, which is smaller than the le1 cam. Times in my sig.

Why did you go with the Joe O cam instead of the the LE? Already had it in i am guessing?

You have done just what i am plaining on doing exsept the cam.
How is the car for daily driving, any isues at all that i should know of? How is gas mileage? Stock rear still holding up? How many miles on the car?

any infor you could give me would be great

I got the "setup" through Lloyd, but the cam came from Joe. I got it right before Lloyd was offering his head/cam packages to everyone. I went with the smaller cam because I'm making my car a sleeper, and through stock exhaust and a high idle you can't hear the cam lope. I do lots of street racing and I don't want people to know its got a cam or heads. The cam was matched to the heads though just like Lloyds cams are matched to his heads. It dyno'd 384rwhp before tuning. I will be dyno'ing again in about a month.

Up until about a week ago I drove the car daily(80 miles/day) and I get 21-22mpg with mostly highway and 17-18 city/racing all night. The rear end is the 10 bolt but with a torsen differential and motive 3.73 gears. I don't even have the girdle on it. I pull consistent mid 1.6 60fts and I have about 10k miles on the setup. The motor/tranny now have 43k miles on them and the car has 100k on it. Tranny just started to slip on me though, but a new one will fix that problem. I'll be shooting for 11.2x on motor with a few other mods and good weather.

the cams offered in the LE packages ARE Joe O cams. he just had a Joe O cam from when Joe used to do custom grinds for the general public. now Joe just grinds cams for Lloyd and one other guy...

I'm running the comp magnums(not the pro mags cuz i'm cheap) and the cmotorsports $36 pushrods. I'm running a holley fuel pump only because my stocker died awhile back. With the 30lb injectors I hit max of 83% cycle duty. Also my shift points are set at 6450. Anything else let me know.

I assume you have the 30 lb SVOs?

When you saw 83% duty cycle, what was your fuel pressure?

I have the LE2 heads with the LE1 cam(slightly bigger than yours) that are getting installed in a few days here, and I am planning on running the stock fuel pump with an aftermarket regulator and some SVO 30 pounders to start out.

If you have a copy of the original dyno sheet (although you have more power now) I would be very interested to see it, so if you could email it to me it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris Bailey

Yes I have the SVO's, and I'm running a stock fuel pressure regulator right now. I'd have to dig up the dyno sheet, its around here somewhere.

If you could get that to me that would be awesome. I will be getting a dyno tune in 1.5-2 weeks, and will definitely get the sheet hosted when all is said and done.

Sounds good. I'll probably be dyno'ing again in about a month. I'll post that sheet for you also.

will a stock fuel pump work with the 30# SVO's?

Also my headgaskets are blown so this is why i am kinda in a hurry to get the heads and cam done.

If i just have the stock stall with the LE1 heads and cam how will the car drive.

So this is a break down of what i will need.

LE1 heads and CAm
RR and Push Rods (stock size push rods?)
30# Inj
Head, WP, Timeing cover, gaskets (can i get all the gaskets in a set?)

New timing set (what is the cheapest way to handle this)

Mail Order Tune

8515181 Beers

Anything i am forgetting?
