do turndowns quiet down a true dual setup that dumps under the car ?
Im mickye mousing a true dual for the weekend (working with FLPs) ... wondering if i should put some turndowns at the end of the mufflers to keep the noise down inside the car
wanna know if they really do make a difference or not
thanx

yes, but the side exit pipes are much better. When putting just one pipe on one side while the car was runing, I could hear it quiet down dramatically. Basically it takes away all the drone at an idle and low speeds, and still allows for full throttle loudness. I had to put them on, my exhaust was driving me crazy, couldn't even hear the radio, my friends thought I got a new exhaust it was so much quieter, and they are very short. Without them you are letting the fumes just bounce around everywhere. The turndowns helped just a little bit, but still allow the fumes to bounce around. here is a couple of pics http://community.webshots.com/album/79485783kIzaYY/1
I think it will quiet it a good bit.
I have LTs and header mufflers and people are suprised its not as loud as the y think its going to be.
I have hornies with turndowns and they are pretty easy to live with.
