I beleive they stoped producing them quite some time ago, prolly cuz other companies engineered headers that flow well without clearance issues

holy crap! I just looked at the price of this SLP shortened spark plug socket... 21.95 + 8.95 handling= ~$31... Is this the only company that makes a shortened spark plug socket? I take it that this wouldn't be something i'd find at Sears would I?

Just take a standard spark splug socket and grind it down. Same difference.

Or you could buy this, once again same difference.

Get this or get a spark plug socket, drill the center out enough for a spark plug to fit in it, and cut the thing in half. SLP's is real nicely done for them by craftsman, but you can make your own.

I take it you just grind the sides of the socket down after cuting it in half and drilling the center out, so that you can grip the socket with a wrench?

Most spark plug sockets come with a 3/4" nut shape on the end of the socket already to grab with a wrench, along with the square for a 3/8" rathcet.

I have Jet Hots and I find that changing those from the bottom are EASY. It's simple getting a wrench in there, just wedge your arm in there and you'll be fine. My arm fits.

Agreed! Especially that dam passanger side.

Just make sure you unplug the battery first. I had a nice little light show once, when my wrench hit the starter. WOWZA!

Yes, but you have to cut the socket in half, or there abouts and then drill out the center so when you put it over the spark plug, the plug will fit within the socket.

Re: do they make a "spark plugs wrench"?

Are you guys using a offset 5/8" wrench OR a will a normal boxed 5/8" wrench to get the plugs on the passenger side from underneath the car? Just wondering cuz the normal 5/8" wrench doesnt work from the top, I was trying to pick up a offset one today but no where but sears carried one and sears was out of stock on them.

YES! and double, tripple, and then once again check that no plug wires are close to those dam primarys. I went ahead and purchased them Taylor heat sleeves. Those suckers are worth each little penny I spent. I have had them making direct contact with the headers, and there is not even a burn mark on them.
