The only problem I had with them was I ordered a door from them that he said was black and had the window motor with all hardware and glass in it. When it arrived it was green and had manual windows . I called him and he said that they have not had a manual door even come through there because if one had he wanted it for his car. I told him well I wanted all the electric stuff for it and you sold it to me as that. After talking for 1/2 hour he finally said that he would refund me $50 for the differnece in the door plus refund me the shipping. I never saw it . I just said screw it casue the body shop made the door that I got work and the car is fine.

I did order a set of heater core hoses from them a few months later and they shoewd up 5 days later and they look almost brand new .

So I have a mixed feeling about them. I have thought about buying a set of LS1 brakes and maybe a T-Top conversion from them but I don't know if I wanna send that much with them and have to wait 4 months to get the stuff cause of packaging.

If you guys want to deal with a real F-body salvage yard that is actually a real business and not a bunch of cars parked in some guy's back yard then check out Billy Graham's:

Crap. I bought an LT1 motor from Scott about a week ago. He told me it would be shipped today, so I called him for the delivery date. He gave me the 'building a crate' line and told me it would be shipped Monday. I hope this isn't the start of something bad. I am on a real deadline and can't screw around. I wish I would have seen this thread before. He charged my credit card the day I ordered.

Thumbs up

I used Speed Automotive to buy my some T-tops I purchased the Passenger side first and it arrived about in about 4 or 5 days. Then the same day I got the Passenger Side T-top I had a brain fart and forgot to latch the Drivers side (I know Stupid) and it blew off and broke Well called SpeedAutomotive up and ordered another one next day air and the next day it arrived. I have had no problems with them.

I hope you didn't order anything but the motor, because he will only ship the motor. From the Emails I've gotten it seems that Scott is in some financial trouble. My guess is that his refusal to ship small parts is an attempt to make some extra cash. He ships the big stuff and conveniently "forgets" to send the rest of your order, hoping you'll forget about it so he can sell it to somebody else.

maybe he needs money to finish up the rest of the house, or maybe build another shed so he can store more parts in it

Well, if he doesn't ship it on Monday, I'm cancelling the order. I can dispute it through my credit card if he doesn't want to refund. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until then though.

I paid for the entire motor, wiring, PCM, Fuel Injection, MAF, everything. That is the only way I won't refuse the order at the shipping dock. We'll see what happens.

Cool

Just to clarify, Speed Automotive is a company that sells used F-body parts. I think some of you are confusing it with Speed O Motive, which builds engines
(The 383 with wrong pistons comment)

Alright I am not standing up fro scott by any means, but I work there. I know for a fact in the past 2 years there has not been a 383 leave that place other than one locally. My whole reasoning behind this post is not to stand up for scott, but i dont want you guys thinking everyone at speedauto is a total F up. We can only do what the F'ed up manager(owner) tells us to, other than when we know a better way that will help us or someone else. Alot of the stuff that goes on we do not know anything about. Like i said this post is not anyway standing up for scott. Just for me and the guys that work there.
