If you have headers you need an in line resistor or have the KM tuned out of your computer. You can spend the money on a LT-4KM but it won't work.

A 1993 does not have a replaceable knock module.

You don't need to do anything, unless there is a problem with it. If you are a victim of false knock, you can try desensitizing the circuit (a search should get you some info). Like anyone else, you would use a scan tool or data logging software to give you some data on the knock counts.

Make sure you TQ your knock sensor to the proper TQ spec (14 Ft Lbs) and run scan master, my guess is you will be fine. If you do see knock you need to make sure it is false before doing anything. If you do end up with "False knock" there are several trick to "Desensitze" the sensor including teflon tape and a 90 deg elbow. The best thing to do is run it and see where you are at. Just remember that witout the sensor you are one bad tank of gas from starting over.
