i am thinking about puting a cutout on the end of the y-pipe and i need to know if it would be bad for the motor because of too little backpressure.

 

I have my cutout right were the cat would be and it seems to be fine, I think as long as your not running straight headers you will have enough back pressure. However I have heard that having it a little farther back will make a few more hp.

 

i have stock manifolds do u think they will sound good with a cut out??

 

Yes it will sound good I just got my put on this morning and I love the way it sounds, and I still have stock manifolds for now atleast. Its loud but you can always close it.

The only thing backpressure is good for is conversation.

I'm ordering a cutout tonight/going to call a local shop to see if they have them
