Do I need

I want to do a cold air induction kit on my 93 stock Z28. Do I need the 1LE elbow? I have seen alot of you have it listed as a mod. What gains are there?

you dont need the 1LE elbow to use a CAI. the 1LE elbow eliminates that "donkey dong" air silencer that hangs down on the stock elbow, and which angers me to no ends sometimes.

Thanks guys I was wondering I see alot of people have it but I wasnt sure if it had something to do with the particular kit you buy or if it is an additional add on for the car.
