Do I have the right length pushrods?

I'm using standard 7.200" long pushrods on a 236/242 cam with Pro mag 1.6 rollers and Comp R lifters.

My problem is when the lifter is at max lift the rockers dont sit all the way down on the rocker stud with the pushrods in and my valve covers dont sit all the way down. When I pull the pushrods out everything fits fine. Are they too long? I did fill the lifters with oil before installing them if that helps.

That does not matter. what matters is the sweep of the roller across the valve.

Follow this page and you'll see what you need.
