Do I have to port manifold right away for 58 tb?

I plan on porting my intake manifold when I do heads/cam and headers next year but was wondering can I bolt on a 58 tb right now or will the blades not open properly with the 52 size hole stock in the intake?

Yea you need to port the opening....or get a spacer. I remember seeing a spacer so you dont need to port your manifold, but do it right...PORT IT!!!!

You need to port the manifold so the ariflow won't be restricted. I don't think it'll hit the maniflods 52mm openings. I need to port my manifold also. I installed a 58mm tb a little over two years ago without porting and I haven't had any problem to support the throttle blades striking the manifold at WOT. It doesn't dyno as much N/A though as when I had the 52mm on the car though.

Why not port it? Yank it off and do it the right way.
