My 95 TA doesn't have a gas light and I hate it. Could I have one but the bulb be burnt out? Or didn't they even come with em? If they didn't, is there a way to install a chime or sumthing when the guage gets at a certain level?

Something wrong with your damn gas gauge? Or maybe your eyes?

Ya I check my guages, but a light is more noticable than a guage IMO. I just wonder why GM didn't put it on there. They should have at least made it so that the 'Check guages' light comes on.

Bah..the way our gauges work..that would have been a gauranteed disaster. My friends 97 Z ran out of gas at the 1/4 mark. I have had mine below the bottom of the E before. Everyones is different.

Maybe someone should try using a dipstick in the tank. Might work better than the gauge.

That's a little bit untrue, is it not? I believe my 99 has one...

On the LS1's the "CHECK GAGES" light come's on when the fuel is low. Other than that there's nothing else.

How can you not notice where your gas guage is? I mean it's only NATURAL to look at the gas guage every so often.

Yes sir you are right. I knew it was something. I haven't driven the 99 in a year and a half now. Damn things in storage. I miss my baby! But my other toy will do for now
