something like the hot cam kit. i think the reason alot of people buy/bought the hot cam kit is b/c of the whole "package" deal. its easier (not always better though) to buy everything at once/together, and thats what i wanna do when i decide to swap the cam. ive chosen the 224/230 as my future cam but would it be possible for me to get a package deal on it from someplace (cam, rockers, valve springs, shims, locks, retainers, etc.)? also what would be a good replacement lifter set, mine are kinda noisy, so whenever i decide to do the cam i may as well replace the lifters. thanx

Combination Motorsports is one place that will put any kind of "kit" together that you will need. Tell them what you want to accomplish and they will make some recommendations to you.

I recommend CM as well, they did all my parts pretty much for my heads and cam job. I bought some stuff individually because I wasn't sure when/what I would be doing when the engine was apart. Eventually went with a cam and they gave me a discount on it, as if it were the package they sold.

Really great to work with too... Must have called them at least 20 times in about 2 weeks for my orders.

CM are great people and will probably have the best prices for you. Although, my local shop did beat there prices on the whole kit. Just check local, but otherwise go with them. I might also recommend to save money, order everything from them except the cam, and try to find it in the for sale section here.

I dunno man, my brand new 224/230 cam from them was only like $220.

I've seen them go for around $150-165 on the board before, both new or slightly used.
