So I got my dual 2.5" E-cutouts today...and made the mistake of not testing them before installation. I welded the cutouts in right after the headers, ran the wiring and whatnot, then I ran into a problem. The studs on the included cutouts aren't long enough to bolt the cutouts on with gaskets. Next problem...1 of the cutouts doesn't work, the motor just makes an "e-er" sound and doesn't move. I switched the wiring and still no luck...tried calling DMH and got no answer.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm sure Dave will replace it assuming I can get a hold of him.

 

I had the same problem with my Mccord cut out, the flange was too thick to use the stock studs on the cut out pipe. Before i installed the cut out i ground down the welds on the studs for the cut out. Cleaned the holes up and used a wire wheel to get the paint off the surrounding area. Then bought new bolts, put a nut on the other side to keep them straight and tack welded them in place.
