Well it could be the tune... Im here in kc by the way, not to far from you... anyway, I had bad luck with Ion from madz28... I also have the 306 cam. His tune was causing my car to run really rich. it was the overlap from cam, but his tune was really off... I tried to let him know, he wanted me to get a moates setup... 150.00 and he would tell me the changes to make to it myself, when I told him no, that I would just sent it back to him to make the changes he told me it was not his tune, that his tune was pretty much dead on, it was something wrong with my car, so finally I got a dynotune and it was his crappy tune... what a waste of 150.00 bucks....

I will never use his tune, or recommend it, Im sure it works for some guys, but not all cars are the same, and he should have better customer service... chances are it could be your tune, you do need to get on a dyno and get the af readings... if non in topeka, then you can come to kc, I know of about 4 or 5 places....

Yea I suppose it could be the tune. I am not exactly sure. I would go get a dyno tune but I really really do not have the money. I am not even sure how much a decient one will cost.

From everything I see the obvious possibilities I see are:
1. Make sure you have the right plug and gap
2. Could be o2's. Look on a datalogger or just replace them if you never have.
3. If it is also idleing bad, check for vacuum leaks or misplaced vacuum lines.
4. Your rockers may not be adjusted correctly. (This was my problem when I fouled out 3 sets of new plugs after a cam swap)
5. It COULD be the tune, but I highly doubt it would cause this much of a problem

From my experiences, I would say its an exhaust leak, bad o2 or the valve adjustment.
Good luck and don't forget to update us on what fixes the problem!

One thing I did forget to mention (not sure if it important or not), ever since I got the engine in. When you first start it up in the morning you have to pump the gas a little bit and keep it reved up for a couple min. before it will idle on its own. Sorta like a carb'd car would. Not exactly sure what the cause of that is but could it be part of this?

It does not idle on its own when it is cold? This could be 2 seperate problems or another symptom of the same problem. I've never had idle issues but there if you put on an aftermarket throttle body, I've heard that some modifications need to be made to the new TB to help it idle. I suppose it could affect off idle performance as well.
I hate trying to diagnose these problems because there are so many things which COULD be the problem but probably are not.

No offense, but I'd look a little closer to home and practice your driving than wonder what's under the hood. If your clutch was slipping, its one thing, spinning the tires is preventable and you can easier cut ½ to 3/4th of a second off your time just in how the car is driven.

Seriously learn how to launch and shift before you wonder why your car is running so badily. Where are you shifting at? Are you slipping out the clutch or are you just dropping it at a high rpm?

I know my reaction time sucks, but as far as my 60ft goes can you guys not understand the car was bogging down and about dieing when I launched?

Bogging could have been from how you launched the car. If I launch my car too low it'll bog, along with any other car. But what were you shifting at?
