Dissapointing Results, Need help.

Well I went to the track Friday night. Car did not even seem like it was pulling as hard as it could. But my times were so bad for what I got done I have no idea what is the matter with it. I hooked it up to a scanner earlyer in the week. And for some reason the computer thinks that it is running lean so it just dumps fuel into the engine. But in reality the enigne is running rich. Even the spark plugs were pure black. You can even smell the gas the whole time the engine is running. But I beleive it is some sensor that is making the whole system mess up but I want to know what you guys think. Any help would be great. Here are my horrible times

1st run

R/t .508
60' 2.600
330 6.364
1/8 9.381
MPH 80.93
1000 11.958
1/4 14.091
MPH 105.99

2nd run

R/t .648
60' 2.469
330 6.205
1/8 9.183
MPH 81.49
1000 11.741
1/4 13.879
MPH 104.56

3rd run

R/t .561
60' 2.631
330 6.434
1/8 9.425
MPH 81.38
1000 11.983
1/4 14.097
MPH 107.11

Possible leaking gasket or exhaust? Usually when the computer reads lean, and is correcting it and making it really rich in reality then there is a leak somewhere. The only thing is you would hear it most likley

Or maybe the o2's are worn out to hell. What kind of readings are you getting on your scan?

Might try cleaning the MAF as well. You could also unplug it momentarily.

Your 60 Ft's are holding your times back even more.

Yeah. Are you spinning at all? Your 60' times are terrible. If you get those down you'll do much better. Who tuned it? Bring it back to them and let them go over it again.

Well Madz28 tuned it. But even if there were a small leak somwhere. Those are some terrible times for what I have. And when I put the engine in I cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner to make sure that was good to go. But I suppose it still could be messed up. Idk I am just pissed.

You could always try swapping out parts, but if you don't have a lot of friends with F-bodies, that can get expensive.

o2 sensor.Your mph is not that bad but still should be more. That 60' really sucks,no traction at all I quees? Are all the plugs black or one side?If its just one side then that would be the side the o2 is bad.

All of the plugs were black. And I did not get very much traction at all either. But my MPH should still be closer to the 115 range I would think. The o2 sensors are probly only about 8 months old or so, most of that time the car being down with motor swap. I got a couple friends with f bodys with lt1's. But yet both of them have their share of problems also, so I dont think swaping parts from them would be a wise dicision.

You need some serious driving lessions, I don't think I could cut a 2.6 60' if I tried.

People with 315 drag radials in fbods were lucky to be under a 1.9

I agree that you should be closer to 112+ mph. I would go to a dyno or somewhere else and get your A/F checked out.

When my front O2 sensors went bad after my header install, I went from 21 mpg to roughly 10 mpg. It makes the car run RIIIICH, like others stated. Changed out the O2's and back to 21 mpg...(mixed city/highway)

I would check for vacuum leaks, as I assume you would hear an exhaust leak(before the O2 sensors) unless you have an extremely loud exhaust. Both of these would also make it run very rich.

Well took her out for a drive today. And at times it would start miss fireing really bad. And then at others it would like to run ok. I mean still ran like crap but did not missfire at times. What in the world would cause that?
