Disabling TC lock up?

If you unplug the converter lock up control module will it cause any trans. problems or drivablity problems? Is there a better way to disable it? Has anyone done this?

Re: Disabling TC lock up?

You can disable it in tunercat by adjust certain tables. But why?

You can disable the solenoid by unplugging the wire connector in the valve body. You'll get an SES though.

But as mentioned before, why?

Re: Disabling TC lock up?

When I built the motor I also had the trans rebuilt and they put a heavier lock up spring in the car(it helps put less wear on the trans because it locks up faster) well no it acts like it wont unlock itself and it has no stall speed as well. I just want to disconnect it and find out what it does(whether it stalls or not).
