Disable Speedo?

Disable Speedo?

Is there a way i can disable the speedometer on my 97? Will disabling it throw a bunch of codes and make it so the car doesnt run right?

Why would you want to? Unless it's for odometer reasons...

speed

pull the plug on the vss (speed sensor) in the tranny!

prob won't hurt any thing if your car is stick.

Ive got gears going in friday and its going to be atleast a couple weeks before i can get the speedo calibrated. I drive my car a couple hundred miles per week and i dont want to put a **** load of miles on it that i didnt actually drive.
