Dipstick loose on 93 Camaro Z28

My dipstick is loose on my '93 Z28. I have read several different forums on how to fix this, but the problem is that my car has been lowered and I can't get under it good enough to fix the problem. So, I called a few local mechanics that I knew had lifts, and they are telling me that the engine will probably have to be pulled to fix the dipstick. Does this sound right? None of the threads that I have read have said anything about pulling the engine to fix the dipstick. I am not looking to drop $1,000+ to get a dipstick fixed, and I know that is what it will cost if the engine has to be pulled.

I pulled mine out on my 95 from up top. Only a single bolt holds it on then just pull up. I ain't never had to pull a motor in my life to pull a dipstick.

The above poster is correct. There's a single tiny bolt that holds the dipstick in place. Figure out how to get to it.

Just because it's lowered doesn't mean the underside of the car is inaccessible.

I just replaced mine because it had the weld on the bracket to the tube broke and making it loose as well as it caused a hole in the tube. My car is lowered as well,so i just put it up on stands and changed it. I accessed the bolt through the bottom.
