dip stick for 383?

dip stick for 383?
I just had my motor worked, 383, 6" rods, etc. My builder says that I can't run the engine with the dip stick. I can check the oil with it, but I can't leave it in. Is there an after market cap or plug for the tube? Thanks.

I went and bought an aftermarket dipstick to check the oil with after my stock one was chewed off when we first fired the motor...
Now I keep the stocker in the tube becasue it is short and doesn't bother anything.
Nothuing like watching the face of some jiffy lube tech trying to check the oil level with a dipstick too short to measure.
