Differences between Vette and F-body TB's
Does anybody know what the differences are between an LT1 Corvette throttle body and the LT1 F-body tb? I seem to remember that the Vette had a 52mm? Or maybe that was just the LT4? Maybe I'm just smoking something? How about the IAC passages and such? Are they the same? Thanks!
Re: Differences between Vette and F-body TB's
All LT1 throttle bodies are 48mm, none came with a 52mm bore. The 92-95 corvette throttle body has different throttle body linkage and shaft. The blades sit at a different angle than the fbody and b-body units. The 93 Fbody throttle body is very simular to the corvette but has an extra linkage for the cruise controll and 700R4 linkage. The 96 Corvette throttle body is the same as the fbody style except it is missing the cruise controll linkage. If you have a fbody just stick to a fbody specific throttle body.
